Business Productivity &
Digitisation Grant

19th May 2025

This month, Go Green had the distinct pleasure of welcoming Andrew Rowley, Key Account and Business Growth Officer from Business Doncaster, to our head office. The purpose of the visit was to discuss Go Green’s active involvement in the Business Productivity & Digitisation Grant. This significant initiative brings together the four South Yorkshire Local Authorities and the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) in a unified effort to support Small to Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in identifying and addressing productivity challenges.

During the meeting, we highlighted how securing two rounds of funding through this grant had been instrumental in enhancing our operational infrastructure. Specifically, the funding allowed us to advance our invoice checking automation processes and integrate the SmartWaste API into our internal systems. These improvements have been pivotal in streamlining our operations and ensuring we maintain high standards of efficiency and sustainability.

Andrew’s visit provided an excellent opportunity for us to demonstrate the tangible benefits of local business engagement. We showcased how our enhanced infrastructure not only boosts our productivity but also contributes positively to the broader business community in South Yorkshire. The discussions underscored the importance of collaborative efforts between local authorities and businesses in driving regional economic growth.

We are excited about the prospects of continued collaboration with the City of Doncaster Council and other local authorities. By working together, we can further support SMEs in overcoming productivity challenges and fostering a more robust and dynamic business environment in South Yorkshire.

Go Green remains committed to leveraging such partnerships to drive innovation and sustainability in our operations. We look forward to future projects and initiatives that will continue to benefit our community and contribute to the region’s economic development.
