DBTH Easter Hampers
Appointed To Cirrus
11th April 2023
Each year Go Green like to treat our staff to an Easter egg however this Easter, in line with our GROWW Framework, we wanted to focus our energy on our community instead. Go Green reached out to our contacts at Doncaster and Bassetlaw NHS Trust to see if we could support them over Easter; due to a lack of donations they requested that our contributions went specifically to the Women and Children’s Hospital at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, to ensure children in less fortunate situations were still able to celebrate this festive period.
It is important that Go Green always involve our team in the community work we deliver, and as such, we wanted to incorporate a little fun. We divided our departments into 5 teams to compete in an Easter themed quiz. Once answers were received, the teams were ranked and the winners were able to select items for their team’s hamper first, so on and so forth. Our teams got into the spirit, with their competitive edge, to pick the best items for their hampers. Items included:
- Chocolate eggs
- Easter themed books
- Cards signed by Go Green staff
- Easter themed foods
- Craft supplies
- Easter decorations
On Thursday 6th April, 3 members of Go Green visited the Women and Children’s Hospital to deliver the hampers before Good Friday, just in time for them to be enjoyed by the young children over the Easter period. We are thrilled to continue a great relationship with DBTH and support them with their internal initiatives.
“Thank you so much for your amazing donation, this will really make a difference to our youngest patients over the Easter holidays.” – Sarah Dunning, Fundraising Manager at DBTH
