On Saturday 15th October, Go Green opened our doors to the local community to give an insight into Go Green and what working with the business looks like.

With the support from Doncaster Council’s Advance Team, the open morning aimed to give people looking for new career opportunities a better understanding of how diverse the waste industry can be and the varying roles within the sector. To help support unemployment rates within the borough, the day was also designed to welcome individuals who are looking for work.

Involved in the day were members of our HR Team, Senior Management, New Starters and Department leaders, to ensure that was a range of staff from all areas of the business able to give a rounded view of working within Go Green. We also had our HR Manager available throughout the morning, in order to carry out on the spot interviews for anyone interested in applying for our current vacancies.

Throughout the morning, we welcomed visitors, all with different employment history, which was great in showcasing that previous knowledge in the waste industry is not essential to join Go Green.
