Sustainable Office Expansion

28th February 2023

At the end of 2022, we were proud to complete the extension work to our Head Office building in Doncaster. With continued business growth, this additional space allowed our team to benefit from a modern working environment and gaining four additional meeting rooms to have more opportunity to invite our clients and suppliers for face to face meetings.

Throughout the project, sustainable procurement was a key priority for us.  In line with our ethos of supporting local businesses through our supply chain, across all the contractors used to carry out various elements of the project, 95% of them were located within a 30-mile radius of the Go Green office.

With a commitment to sourcing sustainable new furniture, we procured seating from Quest, who partner with the SEAQUAL INITIATIVE to combat marine plastic pollution. The fabric used throughout the seating is woven entirely from post-consumer recycled plastic, and for every one metre of fabric purchased from this range, a give-back donation is made directly to the SEAQUAL INITIATVE.

Alongside sustainable new materials, we were also conscious to minimise the waste created throughout the project, living up to the best practise standard we encourage through our customer base. Working in partnership with British Heart Foundation and Refurnish, we prevented old furniture items from going to waste allowing them to remain as a resource for re-use opportunity.

Go Green would like to thank D Simcock and Sons, GJ Electrical, Duncan Wood Electrical, Adrian Welch Glazing, Intec Office Systems, Datamedik, Wilson Carpets, JS Plumbing and Heating, R & S Security, Cobra UK, AllSigns, and Hargreaves & Stocks Decorators for helping us to complete the project.
